The process

How we build your olive oil brand.

Five clear steps, one partner. You stay in control of the decisions; we handle the execution.

01
Brief & positioning
We define your project, market and target price point.
02
Sourcing
We match you to producers at origin and negotiate directly.
03
Samples & validation
You taste and approve; we validate quality and compliance.
04
First production
Bottling, labeling and packaging to your specification.
05
Export & scale-up
Delivered to you, with a plan to grow volumes.

03 — Professional tasters judge oil in cobalt-blue glass, blind to its colour. We work the same way: independent, blind to producer interests.

How long does it take?

Timelines depend on your product and volume, but most projects move from first call to first production within a few months. Because we’re on the ground with the contacts already in place, we remove the delays that usually come from sourcing blind.

What you get at each step

  • Brief and positioning — a written brief: market, channel, target price, oil profile and formats, and an honest view on whether the project holds up.
  • Sourcing — a shortlist of producers able to make that oil, with their certifications, and samples on their way to you.
  • Samples and validation — tasted samples, laboratory analyses, and a fixed specification for the oil you approve.
  • First production — your oil bottled and labelled to that specification, with labels compliant for your market and an analysis of the lot.
  • Export and scale-up — delivery with the export documents, and a supply plan so reorders taste like the first.

Who decides what

You decide the market, the price point, the oil you approve and the design. We run the search, the discussions with producers, the quality checks, compliance and logistics, and come back to you at every decision point. What our work covers, and what is paid to producers and providers directly, is set out on our consulting page.

What makes a project faster or slower

  • Packaging — an existing bottle and closure is faster than a custom one.
  • Certifications — organic and PDO oils add documentation and limited volumes.
  • The harvest — new-harvest oil is milled from October to February and has to be reserved early.
  • The destination — outside the EU, registrations and labels can add steps, as explained in our guide to importing olive oil from Spain.
  • Design approvals — each round of label changes adds time before printing.

Questions about the process

How long does it take to create an olive oil brand?

Most projects move from the first call to the first production within a few months. Existing packaging, a conventional oil and a destination inside the EU are the fastest combination.

What do I need before contacting you?

An idea of your market, your channel, your target price and the volumes you have in mind. The rest, from the oil to the label, we define together.

Do I need to travel to Spain?

No. Samples and analyses are sent to you, and every decision can be taken remotely. You are welcome to visit Andalusia if you wish.

What happens after the first production?

Reorders are made to the same specification, supply is planned across harvests, and volumes can grow with your sales. Our guide to starting an olive oil business covers what comes next.
